If a vendor cannot tell you how their batteries are configured, which cells were used for the pack, or what BMS is soldered, please be very cautious supporting these businesses as not all batteries packs are created equal and can be dangerous, especially in an e-bike use case.
What I personally love about this rack system is how it solves two problems at once. Giving you a rock-solid battery mount and a functional cargo rack. When testing this setup on the local trails in Northern Virginia, I found the weight distribution over the rear wheel a bit heavy which could provide a hidden perk when you’re accelerating from a stoplight with a full load. Just make sure that this bike is staying on the road; we do not recommend any rear rack battery for mountain trails, that’s how you fall off and resent your life’s choices.
